Healing The Source
Our vision and our work is holding a space of healing to support people in healing themselves and their relationships naturally by bringing awareness to energies and elements within and without, and using food, herbs, and subtle practices as medicine. We hold a space of healing for those who want to connect with their innate intelligence by bringing awareness to their subtle and physical energy. We are concerned about relieving human suffering , the imbalances of physical and emotional ills, the imbalances that create conflicts between people, and the suffering of the spirit which longs liberation, peace, and happiness. To ease the imbalance of the subtle energies we lead meditation and various methods of cultivating awareness practices. To enhance relationships between people, we offer Relationship Compatibility Analysis. To ease the imbalance of the body we provide Energy Analysis and Personalized Diet, and Personalized Herbal Formulas, and recommendations of various practices.

Grace C. Pattugalan
Grace worked with and studied under Jaguang Sunim at the Sixth Patriarch Zen Center and travels to Korea to study with Master Hyunoong Sunim. She has been certified as an Energy Analysis practitioner, and, having taken over Healing the Source, continues to offer Energy Analysis and Relationship Compatibility consultations. She also continues to create personalized Herbal Formulas with the guidance and supervision of Master Sunim. She continues to work long distance with Master Hyunoong Sunim and Jaguang Sunim in South Korea to further advance her understanding of this system. Grace holds a four-year Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is also certified as a Western Herbalist and Aromatherapist. Grace has been certified as a Reiki Master for 9 years, and teaches Reiki and practices Energy Medicine. She currently leads Meditation and teaches Hatha Yoga classes in Berkeley, CA.

Master Hyunoong Sunim is the Abbot and Zen Master of the Sixth Patriarch Zen Center. He is currently residing at his temple in Seoul, South Korea, and visits the Hercules center twice yearly. A portion of the profits from Energy Analysis, Chinese Herbs, and Healing and Meditation Retreats are used to support the Sixth Patriarch Zen center.

Ven. Hyunoong Sunim and Jaguang are the co-founders of the Sixth Patriarch Zen Center. Jaguang went to South Korea in 1978 to study Zen Buddhism in Songkwangsa Monastery, and it was here she met Master Sunim. In 1986 she accompanied him to North America and they established their first Zen center. Jaguang has worked with Master Sunim since then as his assistant and translator. She is now fully accredited as an Energy Analysis practitioner, and is the Executive Director of the Sixth Patriarch Zen Center.
